Certified Nursing Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
The CNA is responsible for helping the consumer meet their daily needs, and without this service alone or in combination with other waiver services, the individual would require institutionalization. This service includes:
- Assesses, monitors, and supervises individuals to ensure their health, safety, and welfare
- Assists individuals with activities of daily living skills: Basic personal hygiene, care, and grooming, including bathing, hair care, dressing
- Bladder or bowel requirements or problems, including helping individuals to and from the bathroom or with bedpan routines
- Self-administered medications
- Performs household services and both heavy and light home cleaning tasks
- Assists with preparing a shopping list, performing grocery shopping, and preparing meals
- Transports individual to vocational, recreational, medical, religious, and community activities and experiences; runs miscellaneous errands
- Independently performs basic medical procedures, including taking blood pressure, pulse, temperatures, and specimens and giving whirlpools.
- Participates in the consumer’s Individual Service Plan meetings if and when requested by the consumer and the consumer’s interdisciplinary team.
- Performs tasks and duties according to the ISP and prioritizes and organizes tasks to achieve the goals outlined on the ISP.
- Documents all services provided to the consumer.
Requirements:
To be considered for a CNA position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Valid North Dakota Driver’s License or eligibility for North Dakota Driver’s License and good driving record
- Evidence of automobile collision and liability insurance.
- Functional automobiles can transport consumers safely to vocational, recreational, medical, religious, and other community experiences.
- Ability to assist the consumer to physically transfer from chair to bed, toilet, vehicle, tub, etc. as needed.
- High school degree
- State Nursing Assistant certificate from the North Dakota State Licensing Board, CNA, OR completed the Medicare Competency Evaluation Program, OR completed one year of institutional or community-based direct service delivery in health care within the last two years
- Pass the BCII criminal background study through the North Dakota Department of Human Services
- Minimum of 1,200 hours of CNA experience
- Proof or Manteaux test or Chest X-ray
- Record of Hepatitis B immunization or signed refusal form
- Receipt of two professional employment references
- CPR Certification preferred

Staffing Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for managing the Branch’s staffing area to ensure the selection and placement of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other employees meet the organization’s objectives of quantity, quality, and exemplary client and employee relations. The Staffing Coordinator reports to the General Manager.
- Develops and maintains ongoing, successful relationships and rapport with county staff regarding HAS home care DD services
- Participates in the interviewing, selection, hiring, and orientation of new employees, including conducting employee background checks and verifying health compliance requirements
- Places qualified employees in appropriate positions at consumer homes in a timely manner, working under tight deadlines
- Serves as an ongoing resource for DD consumers, evaluating their satisfaction with Happy and Smile services, responding to consumer inquiries and issues, and working with Case Management as instructed regarding updating consumer CSPs
- Supervises, coaches, and maintains ongoing relationships with employees to increase employee morale, staffing levels, and retention.
- Communicate regularly with the Branch Manager regarding staffing and employee performance issues
- Performs necessary office and staffing administration
Requirements:
To be considered for a Staffing Coordinator position, candidates must possess the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College courses/degree in health care, social work, or related field preferred
- Minimum of a year of staffing experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of health care terminology preferred

General Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of placing home health staff in DD consumer homes in accordance with all DD guidelines, as well as placing nursing professionals in nursing homes located in the designated region. This includes developing new client markets, providing excellence in customer service, managing a growing employee population, and managing the budget of the operations.
The Branch Manager:
- Reports to the Executive Director
- Oversees recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orienting, and management of employee Home Health Aides, Lead Home Health Aides, RNs, LPNs, and Office Staff
- Develops and maintains quality work relationships with FCBMRDD Case Management and consumers.
- Serves as a resource for MR/DD consumers
- Manages the branch office, ensuring the smooth running of all operations and the timely, professional placement of qualified employees in consumer sites.
- Manages the office administration in accordance with Corporate guidelines and expectations
- Performs outside marketing, public relations, and sales activities to continually grow the business.
Requirements:
To be considered for a Branch Manager position, candidates must:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in health care, social work, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of health care administrative experience
- Knowledge of or experience in DD residential care is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience
- Minimum of five years of professional office experience
- Possess a valid North Dakota Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid training
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support a 24-hour operation
- Ability to travel to a variety of locations in and out of state

Job Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Manager, the Office Manager is responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative, clerical, customer service, and operational duties to ensure smooth administrative operations. The Office Manager:

Program Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
The Program Specialist is responsible for coordinating the delivery of community living and related services to DD individuals residing in HAS Home care managed homes. The Program Specialist reports to the Manager.
- Schedules, trains, and supervises HHAs to provide personal care services and support for living – in accordance with individual CSP‘s
- Coordinates visits to individual residences, auditing documentation, and other procedures to ensure compliance with administrative and state requirements
- Coordinates communications through regular visits to consumers’ home
- Monitors employee time records and resident records to ensure accuracy in billing and administration
- Coordinates services with other agencies
- Ensures that individual residents’ rights are observed
- Assists the Manager in developing policies and procedures and in developing staff training curriculum.
- Assists the Manager in interviewing and selecting staff
